Ember is a Senior at Chagrin Falls High school. She has been around photography her whole life because her grandfather and mother both are photographers. She has been involved in Computer Graphics, Digital, and Film photography classes at her school. She has also taken a photography class at the Chagrin Valley Art Center. This class taught her the basics of composition, lighting, and the workings of a camera. Ember's art has been in a few shows including; the Staff and Student Show at the Chagrin Valley Art Center; the CFHS Spring Art Show; and the 2019 Scholastic Art and Writing Awards at the Cleveland Institute of Art, where she received honorable mention. Ember enjoys portrait photography and taking close up photos with a stark contrast between the subject and background. Ember strives to portray deeper meaning in her work and intends to work on depicting her queer experience of the world in her art.
